Frontier bank robbery suspect sought

The Bellingham police Department is investigating a bank robbery at Frontier Bank located at 3410 Woburn. The robbery was reported just before noon Friday morning. The suspect in the robbery allegedly approached a bank teller with a note demanding money. No weapons were displayed and there were no reported injuries.

The suspect walked out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of money before officers arrived.  Officers, K-9 and a helicopter provided by Custom and Border protection Air and Marine services searched the area but the suspect was not located. 

The suspect is described as a white male between 25-35 years of age, he is believed to be 6 feet tall and about 170 pounds.   The suspect was last seen wearing a  jacket, blue jeans and white athletic shoes.  At the time of the robbery, the suspect had a short neatly trimmed beard.
