Nearly one year ago on February 14, 2009, a 79 year Bellingham woman was the victim of an attempted robbery. The victim had just left Walmart and was walking to her vehicle. The woman was attacked from behind by an unidentified female suspect who grabbed the victim's purse and pulled the woman to the ground. The female suspect escaped the immediate area on foot by running toward Stuart Street. The purse was not stolen however the victim received injuries that continue to cause her problems today.
