The Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that the following roads will have traffic limitations during the week of February 1-4, 2010 to accommodate construction.
Hawthorn/Chuckanut
Raymond Street
Lakeway Drive at Ellis Street
East Maple
Tiger Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, will continue sewer line and manhole rehabilitation and replacement as part of the 2009-2010 Sewer Replacement Program. Work this week will include spot repairs and clean out replacements along Hawthorn Road and Chuckanut Drive followed by the same on Raymond Street and Lakeway Drive, Ellis and East Maple Streets. Flaggers will direct traffic through intermittent lane closures in the construction zone. Drivers are advised to use caution and obey flaggers. North Forest Street
Ebenal General Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, will work this week on marking pavement between Holly and Rose Streets. This work is weather dependent. Flaggers will direct traffic through intermittent lane closures in the construction zone. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if at all possible, to use caution and obey flaggers. Fraser Street
Faber Brothers Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, will be installing light poles and pavement markers. This work is weather dependent. Flaggers will direct traffic through intermittent lane closures in the construction zone. Drivers are advised to use caution and obey flaggers.
