Bellingham Fire Department crews responded to a fully involved abandoned house fire on Meridian Street early this morning. The house, located one house south of 4811 Meridian was fully involved on their arrival. A neighbor and a passerby reported the fire at 0625 hours. Crews fought the fire defensively due to the dilapidated state of the structure and a sagging roof. There were no victims found, or firefighter injuries. Fire and police investigators have been called to the scene to determine cause, which at this time remains undetermined. There was no power to the house, and transients were suspected of having access the building.
