Sunday, November 29 is the last day the public can bring residential yard waste to the Clean Green Transfer Facility at the corner of Lakeway and Woburn Streets in Bellingham. The facility will reopen on Saturday, March 6, 2010. In the interim residents can dispose of yard waste at the curb through the food and yard waste program offered by their local garbage service provider or visit the Whatcom County Solid Waste Divisions website at www.co.whatcom.wa.us/publicworks/solidwaste for a list of drop-off facilities in Whatcom County. Alternatively, residents may also contact the Whatcom County recycling hotline at (360) 676-5723 to receive information.
