Heroin/Crack Dealers Arrested in South Side Neighborhood

The Northwest Regional Drug Task Force (NWRDTF)* assisted by the Special Investigations Unit of the Bellingham Police Department, the Bellingham Police Neighborhood Anti Crime Team (ACT) and a narcotics dog from the Washington State Patrol served a search warrant at a house in the 2900 block of Wilson Avenue in Bellingham on Wednesday afternoon October 21, 2009. The NWRDTF and SIU have been investigating several people at the house for approximately nine months for the distribution of Heroin and Crack Cocaine. Bellingham Police have received numerous neighborhood complaints for many months related to suspected drug dealing at the home on Wilson Avenue. Upon forcing entry to the house five people were detained, three of which were determined not to have any criminal involvement. Two individuals were booked into the Whatcom County Jail.
Booked: Kyle John Martinson DOB 8/9/71, a Bellingham resident; 1, count Delivery of a Controlled Substance, heroin; 3, counts Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Crack Cocaine. A King county warrant was also served on Martinson for several counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
Christopher Lee Wallace DOB 12/3/85, a Bellingham resident; 6 counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, heroin
Martinson and Wallace are suspected of distributing a significant quantity of Heroin and Crack Cocaine, monthly, in Bellingham and Whatcom County.
A small amount of heroin and methamphetamine was recovered at the home. A few hundred dollars in cash and a 2003 Ford Escape were seized.
