The Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that the following roads will have traffic limitations during the week of October 19-23, 2009 to accommodate construction.
North Forest Street
Ebenal General Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, will be paving North Forest St. from State St. to Holly St. on Monday, October 19, weather permitting. Wet weather will shift the work to the next dry day. Following the paving, crews will begin water main installation north of Holly St. Flaggers will direct traffic through intermittent lane closures in the construction zone. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if at all possible, to use caution and obey flaggers. Lincoln Street Sewer Replacement
Friberg Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, will perform the final road restoration work on Lincoln Street from Lakeway Drive to the I-5 overpass, weather permitting. This work will result in the need for intermittent lane closures. Drivers should use caution and obey flaggers when travelling through the work area. Fraser Street
Faber Brothers Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, will continue pedestrian and landscape improvements on Fraser Street East of Puget Street this week. Flaggers will direct traffic through intermittent lane closures in the construction zone. Drivers are advised to use caution and obey flaggers.
