The Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that the following roads will have traffic limitations during the week of October 12-16, 2009 to accommodate construction.
Lincoln Street Sewer Replacement
Friberg Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, will continue doing road repair work on Lincoln Street from Lakeway Drive to the I-5 overpass. This work will result in the need for intermittent lane closures. Drivers should use caution and obey flaggers when travelling through the work area. Fraser Street
Faber Brothers Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, will continue pedestrian and landscape improvements on Fraser Street East of Puget Street this week. Flaggers will direct traffic through intermittent lane closures in the construction zone. Drivers are advised to use caution and obey flaggers. North Forest Street
Ebenal General Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, will be grinding the existing street in preparation for paving and continue work on landscape restoration on N. Forest Street, from Rose Street to York Street. Paving of this section is currently scheduled for Wednesday, October 16, weather permitting. In addition, crews will begin sawcutting the road from Holly Street to Ellis Street in preparation for installing new water main. Flaggers will direct traffic through intermittent lane closures in the construction zone. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if at all possible, to use caution and obey flaggers.
