On Wednesday afternoon, approximately $100,000 worth of marijuana plants were seized from a rental home in the Alabama Hill neighborhood.
SIU Detectives (Special Investiation Unit) with the Bellingham Police Department were alerted to a possible drug operation when a concerned citizen reported suspicious circumstances. Although the home was rented, no one appeared to live there.
After investigating the complaint, the Detectives were able to obtain a search warrant to enter the home. Once inside, the Detectives discovered the home was being used for the exclusive purpose to grow marijuana.
Over 100 plants in various stages of growth along with other equipment were seized.
No arrest were made at this time.This investigation continues.
