The Bellingham Arts Commission is accepting nominations for the 30th Annual Mayor's Arts Awards. The nomination deadline is February 27, 2009.
The Bellingham Arts Commission annually accepts nominations for Mayor's Arts Awards to honor Bellingham citizens who have significantly contributed to the arts in our community. Accomplishments by individual artists, businesses, benefactors, organizations, arts educators, arts supporters, civic improvement leaders or notable events or achievements are all possible areas for Mayor's Arts Awards.
"Acknowledging Bellingham's engaging and vibrant art community is a wonderful part of this job," said Mayor Dan Pike. Past recipients represent a wide variety of visual, performing and cultural art endeavors by talented and dedicated community members. This year's awards ceremony is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. April 22 in the Rotunda Room of the Whatcom Museum of History & Art.
