Please join the City of Bellingham Parks and Recreation Department for a presentation and open house to discuss updated design plans for Cornwall Beach Park. Consultants and City staff will present background information and the final draft conceptual master plan, including shoreline and nearshore habitat concepts.
The meeting will be held July 30, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. in the Bellingham City Hall Council Chambers, 210 Lottie Street, Bellingham, Washington. This is your opportunity to review and comment on the final draft plan before it goes to the Park Board and City Council for approval.
This is a priority project for public access to the waterfront and is identified in Phase One of the Waterfront District Interlocal Agreement for Facilities. This project will also help to meet the objectives of the 2014 Parks Recreation Open space (PRO) plan to provide additional central waterfront parks and trails.
This master plan process is funded with park impact fees.
The City is working in cooperation with the Port of Bellingham to clean up the area and prepare it for development into an urban waterfront park. The park will be accessible via Cornwall Avenue
