The Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that the following roads will have traffic limitations during the week May 19 - May 23, 2008 to accommodate construction.
James Street
Colacurcio Bros. Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, will begin installing two enhanced crosswalks on James Street at the intersections of Carolina Street and Kentucky Street. Traffic will be reduced to one lane, intermittently, through construction. For more information about this project contact Project Engineer Derek Holzl at 778-7900 or dholzl@cob.org.
SEWER REHABILITATION PROGRAM
F Street
Ram Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, will be installing a new sewer main in the alley east of Victor Street, between W. North Street and Jefferson Street. In addition they will be repairing pavement on F Street this week. Flaggers will direct traffic around the work sites. For more information about this project, please contact Project Engineer Mark Handzlik, mhandzlik@cob.org or 778-7900.
WATER MAIN INSTALLATION
Cornwall Avenue
Minor repairs and saw-cutting may continue next week along Cornwall Avenue. For more information regarding this project, contact Project Engineer Derek Holzl at 778-7900 or dholzl@cob.org.
Road project schedules and status reports are based on currently available information. Dates, times and work locations are subject to change due to inclement weather or last-minute changes in work schedules. Road system users should plan accordingly for changing conditions.
When traveling through a construction area, drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians are asked to be patient, proceed with caution and obey flaggers at all times. Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing, sidewalk construction, water and sewer main work, and utility cuts.
