Man dies following dispute and stabbing

A 20 year old Mt. Vernon man dies following a dispute and stabbing incident in the 1500 block of James Street in Bellingham today at 1:00 p.m.

This was initially reported as a road rage incident but the investigation has not yet established this as fact.

According to witness's, two cars stopped in the street.  The suspect, victim and the victims passenger exited their vehicles and had a heated discussion which then resulted in the suspect stabbing the victim. The suspect immediately drove away from the area.

The victim was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital by a passenger of his vehicle.  Shortly after arriving at the hospital the victim died.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20's, medium build, bald, no facial hair.  He was wearing a blue button-up shirt and black slacks or pants.

The victim has been identified as David Datskiy, a 20 year old white male and Mt. Vernon resident.
