Posted: May 08, 2008 12:30:26 PST

The Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that the following roads will have traffic limitations during the week May 12 -16, 2008 to accommodate construction.

F Street - Sewer Rehabilitation Program
Ram Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, will continue replacing the manholes on F Street working west toward the water.

Wilder Construction, sub-contractor, will be installing asphalt patches where the sewer work was done on 11th Street and in the alley east of 11th Street, south of Adams Street, weather permitting. For more information about the Sewer Rehabilitation Project contact Project Manager Mark Handzlik, mhandzlik@cob.org , or call 778-7900.

Cornwall Avenue - Water Main Installation
Strider Construction, under a contract with the City of Bellingham, will continue pavement patching on Cornwall Avenue between York Street and Magnolia Street this week. They will also be repairing the pavement in the Alabama/Cornwall intersection on Tuesday or Wednesday, beginning at 6:00 am. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers in the work areas. For more information regarding this project, contact Project Engineer Derek Holzl at 778-7900 or dholzl@cob.org .

The City of Bellingham Public Works Department provides this information as a public service. It is based on currently available information. Motorists are reminded that weather and road conditions can change rapidly and should plan accordingly. When traveling through a construction area, drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians are asked to be patient, proceed with caution and obey flaggers at all times.
