Learn about volunteer opportunities at Big Rock Garden Park

The public is invited to learn about volunteer opportunities at Big Rock Garden Park at a meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Bloedel Donovan Park Beach Pavilion.

The Friends of Big Rock Garden Park group is looking for volunteers to help support this beautiful 2.7-acre sculpture garden. Volunteers are need for all aspects of supporting the park, including landscape planning, planting, weeding, caring for the park's sculpture collection, planning and promoting art exhibits and other special events, and planning for sculpture acquisition.

Please consider joining in to help care for and improve this unique Bellingham City Park.  For more information, contact the Parks Volunteer Coordinator at the Bellingham Parks and Recreation Department, 778-7105.
