Posted: October 7, 2013 5:25:51 PM PDT

Bellingham, WA--Bellingham Police were able to identify the body of a man found dead in Franklin Park on the morning of October 5, 2013, after requesting the public's assistance in identifying him.  Police found no apparent cause of death. The man had been found with no identification on his person. Police checked his fingerprints but could not match them with any in the data base.  In the early morning hours of October 6th police received a call from an individual that felt that the dead man was his missing roommate.  Investigators confirmed that it was indeed his roommate.  The man is identified as 19 year old William Viktor Litvin.  Litvin is staying in Bellingham to attend Western Washington University and is from Chelan, WA.  An autopsy performed on October 7, did not identify the cause of death but did indicate the presence of illegal drugs in his system.  The complete toxicology report will not be known for several days.  The results will be released by the Medical Examiner's office.
