Drug investigation results in 18 arrested-more sought

Bellingham Washington- Bellingham Police conducted an extensive round up of suspected drug dealers Wednesday afternoon arresting 18 out of 33 subjects sought. Arrest teams hit the streets after a four week intensive investigation conducted by members of the Bellingham Police Special Investigations Unit. This investigation resulted from the proactive work by the Special Investigation’s Detectives. The investigation was supported by information and concerns form citizens and businesses in hotel row along Samish Way and Maritime Heritage Park.

 At this time, the following subjects have been booked into the Whatcom County Jail for alleged drug related charges. More arrests are anticipated as the investigation continues.

Donovan D. Brown, Jennifer J. Buesser, Earnest K. Deal, Chandra S. Dibley, Levi Z. Garrett, Eric D. Goggans, Rachel A. Corden, Paul W. Harvey, Raphaella Hernadndez-Estrada, Anthony R. Jackson, Mac D.J. Lorenz, Christopher D. Mayse, Nathan S. Rackliff, James D. Rittel, Johnny R. Sanders, Harald L. Shockey, Levi S. Walton, Leanne D. Whitecotton and Thomas G. Trujillo.

As of this morning, there are 16 subjects being sought in connection to this investigation. 

Bellingham Police Chief Clifford R. Cook commented, “This is just one example of our Department's on-going focus to reduce drug trafficking and improve the quality of life in our community.  I believe the residents of our community appreciate the hard work and determination of our personnel in bringing about these arrests and creating a safer environment for those individuals who reside and work in the Samish corridor of our community “.
