Heroin, cash and gun seized in drug arrest

Bellingham Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit Detectives, assisted by officers from S.W.A.T arrested Chad M.Tiffany on Friday evening 6.10.11 for several drug related offenses. Tiffany was taken into custody without incident after a search warrant was served at his apartment located in the 3000 block of Ferry Avenue.

Tiffany, age 24 allegedly sold heroin on several occasions leading to his arrest. At around the same time, Ronald D. Evans age 51 was contacted in the parking lot of the apartment complex. Evans was in his vehicle at the time. A search of his vehicle located heroin, methamphetamine and oxycodone.  

Tiffany was booked into the Whatcom County Jail for 2 counts of delivery of a controlled substance (heroin), possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Evans was booked for attempted delivery of a controlled substance (heroin), possession of a controlled substance (heroin), possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (methamphetamine) and possession of a controlled substance (oxycodone).

The total estimated street value of the heroin seized in this investigation is around $10,300. The total amount of cash seized was $2,988.00. A handgun, ammunition and vehicle were also seized.
