Whatcom County Roads with Closures / Traffic Limitations

The Whatcom County Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that the following roads will have Closures or Traffic Limitations during the week of November 16th through the 20th, to accommodate construction activities. Please see the detailed information listed below.

Closures:
Mosquito Lake Rd/Middle Fork Bridge about 5.5 south of Mt Baker Hwy (SR542)This bridge rehabilitation project will include replacement of the approach spans, removal and replacement of the existing decking, new guardrails, replacement of many structural steel members, repainting of the bridge and scour protection installed in the river.
The bridge closure is for Bridge Closure is from Monday, June 22nd for approx. 8-10 months all  A signed detour route is in effect. vehicles including emergency.

Traffic Limitations:
Hampton Rd/Mormon Ditch Bridge, just south of Lynden This new bridge is now open to traffic as of Noon, October 29th. Please use lower speeds and caution in the construction zone as minor work activities are still underway. Thank you for your patience and courtesy over the 6-month construction period.
