Winter Weather Advisory in effect from midnight tonight to 7 pm pst Friday...
The national weather service in Seattle has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow...which is in effect from midnight Tonight to 7 pm pst Friday. The winter storm watch is no longer in effect.
An approaching frontal system will spread snow across the mountains later tonight. Light snow will begin around midnight over the Olympics and shortly after Midnight over the Cascades Then increase in intensity shortly before dawn Friday. The snow Level Friday morning will be between 1500 and 2000 feet. The front will cross the area during the mid morning hours after which The steady snow will change to snow showers which will continue Into the early evening hours. With the colder air following the
font the snow level will gradually fall through the day...settling to around 500 feet by evening.
By sunup...1 to 4 inches of snow is expected across the mountains with an additional 4 to 7 inches expected during the day Friday.with snow winding down Friday evening...totals will range from 6 To 10 inches with a few locations getting a bit more.
