Hannegan Road Scott Ditch Bridge No. 245 Open Now

 
The Whatcom County Public Works Department and Max J. Kuney Construction are pleased to announce the early completion of the Hannegan Road Scott Ditch Replacement Project, located just south of Lynden on Hannegan Road. The bridge will open to traffic at approximately 5:00 PM on October 30, 2009.

The project involved complete replacement of the old bridge. Traffic has been detoured around the construction site via Abbott, Thiel, and Van Dyk Roads since August 24,
2009. The project was completed in just 46 working days.Minor construction and cleanup activities, including re-painting the center line and edge lines, will continue during the next few weeks (weather permitting). However, no major traffic disruptions are expected.
