Moist northwesterly flow behind a cold front will bring heavy Snow to the mountains this afternoon into Tuesday. This will be The first significant snowfall of the season.

A winter storm warning remains in effect until 5 pm pdt Tuesday.
The forecast calls for 6 to 12 inches of snow through Tuesday Morning...with heavier amounts possible between Stevens and Snoqualmie pass as a Puget Sound convergence zone develops. In Addition there is a possibility that a narrow band of northwest Winds aloft flowing unimpeded down the Strait of Georgia will Cross the cascades near or right over Stevens pass causing Localized accumulations up to 18 inches.
