Crews to pave Guide Meridian in Bellingham
BELLINGHAM - Crews will close one lane of Guide Meridian (State Route 539) north of Bellingham starting Saturday to pave the final layer of asphalt between Hemmi and Ten Mile roads.
Drivers should expect minor delays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. while crews pave Saturday, Oct. 3, Monday, Oct. 5, and Tuesday, Oct. 6. The paving is weather dependent and the schedule will be modified as necessary.
This work is part of a larger $160-million, two-project effort to improve safety and relieve congestion on the Guide Meridian between Bellingham and Lynden. For more project details, visit the Guide Meridian blog - http://guidemeridian.blogspot.com.
