SR 542( Mount Baker Highway) reduced to one lane for three days near Glacier
GLACIER - Crews will close one lane of Mount Baker Highway (SR 542)about four miles east of Glacier to install a new culvert.
Drivers should expect up to 10-minute delays during daylight hours Tuesday, Sept. 15, through Thursday, Sept. 17. Flaggers will alternate traffic through the work zone.
To prevent the road from sinking, crews will fill in the old, broken culvert, and then install a new culvert directly above it. WSDOT maintenance crews are making these repairs separate from the nearby Bruce Creek culvert replacement project.
WSDOT's mission is to keep people, businesses and the economy moving by operating and improving the state's transportation systems.
