Emergency Service Outage of the Lummi Island Ferry

Whatcom County Public Works would like to inform the public that an emergency repair to the Whatcom County Ferry, the Whatcom Chief, is delaying ferry traffic.  We expect the repair to be completed by 3:00 p.m. this afternoon.

One of the two engine plants has a cooling system failure this is being corrected.

The Public Works Department would like to thank everyone for their cooperation and patience during this necessary repair.
