Traffic switch set at SR 539/Pole Road roundabout near Lynden

LYNDEN - Crews will switch traffic to the recently completed east side of the new roundabout at the SR 539 (Guide Meridian)/Pole Road intersection Saturday afternoon, Aug. 8.

Drivers will begin using the east side of the roundabout at 1 p.m.Saturday. Flaggers will direct traffic, but drivers should prepare for minor delays as crews complete the traffic switch.

East and West Pole roads will still be closed at their intersection with the Guide, and drivers will only travel north and south through the intersection.

Moving traffic to the recently completed east side of the roundabout allows crews to begin work on the west side. Crews expect to complete work and open the Roundabout to traffic prior to the start of the Northwest Washington Fair, which begins Aug. 17.
