...Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 4 pm this afternoon to 8 pm pdt Thursday...

The national weather service in Seattle has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the northern cascades...which is in effect From 4 pm this afternoon to 8 pm pdt Thursday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.

An avalanche warning remains in effect through late tonight. For more information visit www.nwac.us

Snow will redevelop this afternoon then increase in intensity early this evening. Moderate to heavy snow will continue through tonight with snow showers through Thursday...with additional heavy accumulations expected. Expected snow amounts will range from 5 to 10 inches tonight with an additional 3 to 6 inches expected on Thursday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A winter weather advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while driving.
