Western Whatcom county-east Puget Sound lowlands-
Western Skagit County-western strait of Juan de fuca-north coast-

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 10 am pst this
Morning to 5 am pdt Sunday...
 
 
A strong cold front will pass through western Washington this Morning...with showers developing across the area. Snow levels
will remain below 500 feet with rain mixing with snow in heavier showers.
 
Highest snowfall totals for the western Strait of Juan de Fuca and the northern Washington coast will occur away from the water
and on elevated terrain. Snowfall totals of 2 to 5 inches are expected by Sunday morning.
 
The highest snowfall totals for western Whatcom and western Skagit Counties...and the east Puget Sound lowlands...will occur nearest
The cascades. Total snowfall amounts of 2 to 5 inches are Expected through Sunday morning. A Puget Sound convergence zone
will lead to locally heavy snowfall amounts for the east Puget Sound Lowlands Saturday night.

A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow...sleet...or Freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while driving.
