FEMA Disaster Recovery Center Open In Whatcom County
OLYMPIA – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Washington Emergency Management Division (WEMD) have announced that a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) has opened in Whatcom county, it will be open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. closed on Sundays.Disaster victims can register for help from FEMA,The State of Washington and the SBA in person or get information.

Applicants can register for disaster assistance by calling, toll-free, 1-800-621-3362 (FEMA) (TTY 1-800-462-7585), 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. Online registration is available at www.disasterassistance.gov.
It is not necessary to visit a DRC to register for assistance. DRCs are set up to answer questions about eligibility and to help people complete their loan applications. While it is possible to register at a DRC, FEMA and WEMD officials encourage people to register before visiting.
Residents of following counties are eligible to receive disaster assistance: Benton, Cowlitz, Clallam, Grays Harbor, King, Kittitas, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, Pierce, Skagit, Snohomish, Thurston, Wahkiakum and Whatcom.
