Weekend Forecast Has Changed

Subtle change in track of incoming storm has resulted in a significant change in the snow forecast...

The explosively developing low pressure center is now expected to track across Northern Washington instead of Southern Washington. This will result in warm air hanging on longer for many locations with a significant lowering in the amount of forecast snow in the Puget Sound region. Cold Canadian air is still expected to pour out of the Fraser Valley starting late tonight.

A winter weather advisory for Whatcom County remains in effect from 4 pm this afternoon to 7 am pst Saturday.

Rain is expect to change over to snow late this afternoon and tonight over the Northwest Interior (Whatcom County) as a surface low passes over the area. One to three inches of snow is possible by Saturday morning.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties.Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while driving.
