Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for the Olympics and North and Central Washington Cascades from noon today to 6 am pst
Saturday...
 
Winter Weather Advisory in effect for San Juan County,Western Whatcom and Skagit Counties and the Admiralty Inlet Area from 4
pm this afternoon to 7 am pst Saturday...
 
Winter Storm Watch now in effect for the Southwest interior...Lower Chehalis Valley...Western Strait of Juan de Fuca
and the North and Central coast...
 
An explosively developing low pressure system will move across Western Washington late this afternoon and tonight. 
Heavy snow is expected in the mountains this afternoon and tonight as this system passes through the area. Depending on the exact track of
the low...portions of the lowlands...especially the Hood Canal...Eastern Strait of Juan de Fuca...Cascade foothills...and
in the Puget Sound convergence zone area in the Central Puget Sound...could see heavy snowfall tonight. Lighter snow amounts are
expected over the Northwest Interior (Whatcom County) tonight. 
 
Winter Weather Advisory in effect for San Juan County, Western Whatcom and Skagit Counties and the Admiralty Inlet area from 4
pm this afternoon to 7 am pst Saturday...
 
The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a Winter Weather Advisory...which is in effect from 4 pm this afternoon to
7 am pst Saturday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.
 
Rain is expect to change over to snow late this afternoon and tonight over the Northwest Interior (Whatcom County) as a surface low passes by to
the south of the area. One to three inches of snow is possible by early Saturday morning. 
 
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while driving.
