The University of Houston Department of Public Safety (UHDPS) will be testing the Mass Notification Voice and Siren System at 2:30 p.m. today, Friday, November 14, 2008 by activating the hi-low siren for 15 seconds.  After the siren test, two short messages will be read to test the public address component. The entire test should last less than 30 seconds.

Although we will have UHDPS staff monitoring at various locations across campus during the test of the system, we would appreciate your input as well.  Upon the completion of the testing, you can email UHDPS at bcollier@central.uh.edu to describe your experience with the Siren System.
