SUSPECT #1: A black male (not affiliated with the University) wearing a maroon shirt and black pants. Suspect was located and arrested.

COMPLAINANT #1: A black male (not affiliated with the University)  wearing a white muscle shirt.

WEAPON: Pocket knife with a black handle.

SYNOPSIS: On 7/18/08 the police dispatcher received a call of a black male with a knife chasing another black male behind the Athletic Alumni Building. Responding officers arrested the suspect after he climbed the softball field fence and stepped on to Scott Street. Subsequent investigation determined neither party was affiliated with the University and that the incident started at an off campus residence on McGowan and the chase came on to campus.  The incident resulted from a dispute over property ownership.  There were no injuries and the suspect was placed in Harris County Jail for Aggravated Assault.   The knife was recovered.
