METRO’S MOVES BEHIND THE SCENES

Do you ever wonder what it takes to roll out a METRO bus or train into service for a day’s work?

Tune into METRO Moves tonight at 6 p.m. on Comcast’s HCCTV Channel 19. The agency’s latest documentary takes you behind-the-scenes to where all the action happens to make sure buses hit the streets on time and in tip-top shape, as well as the trains.

METRO has a total of six bus operating facilities. This is where the buses are daily cleaned, checked and inspected. Learn about the entire process – from the modern technology used to help with service checks to the pre-inspection performed by the bus operator just before he/she start their day.

Also, take a visit to METRO’s Rail Operation Center, known as the ROC. This is the giant garage used to perform routine maintenance and inspections on the trains, and where they are cleaned daily.

As you’ll see, METRO takes the necessary steps to make sure all vehicles are safely ready to move you to work, school or any place you’d like to go.

Don’t miss METRO Moves tonight at 6 p.m. on Comcast’s HCCTV Channel 19.

The show will air Monday through Friday, August 3 – August 7. The documentary will also be posted on METRO’s Web site at www.ridemetro.org.
