Southeast light-rail project reaches critical milestone

METRO reached another critical milestone in the build-out of the METRO Solutions Phase 2 plan: Last week the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) granted it's final approval of the Southeast Corridor Supplemental Final Environmental Statement (SFEIS) through a document known as a Record of Decision (ROD).

Transcript of live Web chat available online

Last week we had 34 people chatting online with Bryan Pennington, the METRO senior VP who oversees the construction of the light-rail expansion.  We received far more questions than we could answer, but now you can read a transcript of the questions that he could answer during the one-hour session.

HOT lanes update

Earlier this month, METRO held a public meeting to provide information about the agency's plans to re-designate its high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes as high-occupancy toll (HOT) lanes.
