Intermodal Terminal Selected Artists
After a rigorous selection process that included METRO staff, art specialists and - most importantly - members of the community, the following artists have been selected to collaborate with the design team preparing plans for Houston's proposed Intermodal Terminal: - Dixie Friend Gay, Houston, TX
- The Art Guys, Houston, TX
- Electroland, Los Angeles, CA
These artists will prepare detailed proposals for artwork at the Intermodal Terminal. Selected proposals will become part of the terminal construction, which is scheduled to begin this summer. The North, Southeast, East End and Uptown lines are scheduled to begin operating in 2010.
